The suitable candidate will be taking full responsibility for the property's day to day operations, budgets and profitability by effectively planning, leading, organizing and controlling all aspects of strategy, marketing, finances, standards and maintenance.
He or she will provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments to support our service culture, operations and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all functions of the hotel
- Coordination with HOD's for the execution of all activities and functions on a daily basis.
- Establish new and ensure current Hotel SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards
- Lead all key property issues including customer service and refurbishment
- Ensure that monthly financial outlooks are on target and react with impactful strategies
- Develop improvement action plans
- Help in the procurement of supplies and equipment and contract with third-party vendors
- Take charge of hiring, training key staff and contract renewals.
- Manage new client acquisition, visit trade fairs and network with current partners.
- Responsible for legalization, Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of Rooms Division and Food & Beverage Departments;
- Working knowledge of Human Resource Policies and Practices;
- Understanding of Marketing, Sales and channel principles and processes;
- Working knowledge of financial and administrative Principles;
- Working knowledge of POS and PMS systems;
- Knowledge and Understanding of Diverse Cultures - Previous experience in East Africa would be an advantage.

Job Experience
Minimum 2 years of relevant Senior General Management Hotel / Resort experience. Preference will be given to candidates that have had previous experience in East Africa.
